Privacy Policy
FlowState and FlowState Process Studio (“the Software”) are developed by Kemal Yaylali.
The Software collects no personal data.
- No accounts, telemetry, analytics or advertising. The Software does not ask you to sign in, and it does not send usage data, crash reports or any other information to the developer or to third parties.
- Your files stay on your computer. Process files (
.flow), reports and exports are saved only where you choose. The Software keeps a small settings file on your computer, holding the theme, recently opened files, automation options and the assistant's provider settings. That file is never transmitted. - No internet connection by default. The Software does not contact any server on its own. The optional automation API listens only on your own computer (127.0.0.1), and only after you start it from the Tools menu; the MCP server for AI agents runs on your computer only when your AI client starts it. Links you click, such as the website or email address in the About window, open in your own browser or mail program.
- The in-app assistant is off until you set it up. It sends nothing until you choose an AI provider and press Send. Each request then goes only to the provider and address you configured (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or a server on your own computer such as Ollama or LM Studio) and contains your messages, the items you attached and the results of the tools the assistant used on the open process. Nothing passes through the developer. What the provider receives is covered by that provider’s own privacy policy; with a local server the data stays on your computer. See The in-app assistant.
- API keys stay in your operating system’s credential store (Windows Credential Manager, macOS Keychain or the Linux Secret Service). They are never written to
.flowfiles. If no credential store is available, you can choose to keep a key in the local settings file instead. - Microsoft Store. If you install through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download and updates under its own privacy statement. The developer receives only the aggregate, anonymous statistics that Microsoft provides to all publishers.
- Mac App Store, TestFlight and Flatpak. If you install through the Mac App Store or TestFlight, Apple handles the download and updates under its own privacy policy; TestFlight testers may choose to send feedback and crash reports to the developer through Apple. Flatpak installs download the release archive from this website. The developer receives only the aggregate statistics these services provide to all publishers.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
This website
This website (flowstate.yaylali.uk) sets no cookies. It uses privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics (Umami) to count visits and see which pages and links are popular. The analytics are served from this site’s own domain and load no third-party code; they set no cookies, store no identifier on your device, and collect no personal data. A visit records only the page address, the site you came from, and your browser, operating system, device type and approximate country. The country is worked out from your IP address, which is used only for that and is not stored. This data is kept on the developer’s own server, is never sold or shared, and is not used to track you across other websites. The early-access form sends nothing by itself: it prepares an email in your own mail program, and you decide whether to send it. If you do, your details are used only to reply to your request and are not shared. The developer’s profile picture is loaded from Gravatar. The donation links go to Ko-fi and Liberapay, whose own privacy policies apply once you follow them; this site loads nothing from either service. The web server may keep standard access logs for security and troubleshooting.
