Reports and exports

From the desktop app

CommandOutput
File ▸ Export HTML report… or 📄 ReportA self-contained HTML process report, saved as “title - report.html” and opened in your browser
File ▸ Export batch sheet (HTML)… or 📋 Batch SheetThe electronic batch record: step-by-step instructions for every operation, saved as “title - batch sheet.html”
File ▸ Export stream table (CSV)… or ⬇ Export CSV on the Streams tabThe stream table as CSV (“title - streams.csv”): temperature, total mass per batch, volume and component masses
⬇ Export SimaPro CSV… on the Environment tabA SimaPro 9 process CSV with the life-cycle inventory (see Environment and LCA)

The process report

The HTML report contains an executive summary, the unit procedures and schedule, the operations, the stream report (kg per batch), capital investment, annual operating cost, cash flow, the environmental summary and the simulation messages. It is a single file with no external dependencies, so you can e-mail or archive it as it is. When economics are switched off for a process, the cost sections are left out.

Batch sheets and templates

Batch sheets turn each operation into numbered instructions, with the quantities, temperatures and durations taken from the recipe, and with check lines for the operator. To change the wording, open Tools ▸ Batch-sheet templates…:

  1. Pick an Operation type.
  2. Edit the text. Placeholders such as {{amount}} are filled from the recipe, and each non-empty line becomes one instruction. The Placeholders list shows what is available for that operation type.
  3. Reset to default restores the built-in wording.

Templates are saved with the process.

Further formats from the command line

flowstate-cli writes the same reports in other formats, plus workbooks and charts:

CommandOutput
flowstate-cli report my.flow -o report.htmlHTML report; add --docx for Word or --rtf for RTF
flowstate-cli batch-sheet my.flow -o sheet.htmlBatch record; --markdown, --docx or --rtf for other formats
flowstate-cli export-xlsx my.flow -o results.xlsxExcel workbook with the sheets Summary, Streams, Equipment, Schedule, Economics, Cash Flow, Utilities, Resource Profiles and Environment
flowstate-cli chart my.flow --kind gantt -o gantt.svgSVG chart (gantt, occupancy, resources or cashflow) over --batches N; a .csv output name, or --csv, gives the chart data instead
flowstate-cli lca my.flow --simapro inventory.csvSimaPro process CSV

While the automation server is running, the same files are available over HTTP, for example /report.docx, /batch-sheet.md, /export.xlsx and /chart/gantt.svg. See Command line and automation API.
